![]() De Haven is a two-time recipient of National Endowment for the Arts fellowships, and a frequent contributor to The New York Times Book Review and Entertainment Weekly. His acclaimed Derby Dugan trilogy (Funny Papers, Depression Funnies, and Dugan Underground) and 2005 novel, It’s Superman!, explore the history and culture of American comics. Tom De Haven is an American Book Award-winning author. All events are free and open to the public. A special opening reception for the CCS Thesis Exhibition, featuring the graduating students’ original artwork, takes place immediately following the ceremony.
